The seven principles provide a comprehensive approach to climate-related financial reporting and helps organizations identify and disclose material climate-related risks and opportunities in a clear, concise, and decision-useful manner. In addition, building strong relationships with stakeholders is critical for organizations seeking to achieve their ESG goals and these factors work to help organizations establish trust, communicate effectively, be transparent, demonstrate accountability, focus on shared values, and maintain ongoing engagement.
